    Enrichment Projects Drive Impact

    The Enrichment Project is an opportunity for each Brown Fellow to engage in individual enrichment activities which may take the form of national or international research, leadership, and civic engagement during the summers following his or her second and third years of college. Enrichment Projects provide each Brown Fellow with a national and international leadership perspective beyond the classroom setting and beyond what is normally recommended for a student scholar.

    In her first two years as a Brown Fellow, Jessica Nelson says she came to understand how vast, beautiful, and, at times, in need the world is. For her annual summer enrichment project through the Brown Fellows Program, she undertook a medical field internship in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

The Brown Fellows Program is a single initiative spanning two distinguished Kentucky campuses – Centre College and the University of Louisville. The Program features international travel, an enrichment program customized by the student, and cultivation of research, study and leadership. Students will not only distinguish themselves for the future but also be lifelong ambassadors to the state of Kentucky. Ten fellows are chosen each year at both the University of Louisville and Centre College.
