Brown Fellows Program

BROWN FELLOWS

The Brown Fellows Program was established by the James Graham Brown Foundation in partnership with Centre College and the University of Louisville. One program spanning two campuses, the Brown Fellows Program provides a diverse group of students the opportunity to build leadership skills through academic enrichment, expanded opportunity, and personal accountability, and strives to create a network of higher education opportunities that will challenge even the brightest and most intellectually curious minds. Our goal is to ensure that the intellectual and leadership journey of a Brown Fellow rivals the academic experience of anyone else in the world.

Each Brown Fellow receives full tuition, room and board, and associated fees. The Program features a group international trip during the summer prior to freshman year, numerous academic and leadership activities over the course of four years, and funding toward three individual summer enrichment projects. Fellows work with an on-campus Program Mentor to plan individual enrichment projects that incorporate their academic interests and career goals. Projects may take the form of national or international research, leadership development, and/or civic engagement.
