BROWN FELLOWS
The Brown Fellows Program is designed to provide a diverse group of students the opportunity to build extraordinary leadership skills through academic enrichment, expanded opportunity and personal accountability.
Each student selected as a Brown Fellow will work with an on-campus Program Mentor to develop his or her own Leadership Project. This project will incorporate the Fellow's academic and research interests and will span his or her collegiate career. The program provides an enhanced academic and interpersonal experience consisting of individual study, field-based experiential learning and community service.
The Brown Fellows Program strives to create a network of higher education opportunities that will challenge even the brightest and most intellectually curious minds. Our goal? To ensure that the intellectual and leadership journey of a Brown Fellow rivals the academic experience of anyone else in the world.
Your Brown Fellow Program experience begins with a group trip to an international destination during the summer preceding your first year of college. Once a Brown Fellow returns from the leadership immersion trip, each Fellow will identify and pursue individualized enrichment opportunities pertaining to his or her Leadership Project, including competitive internships and research positions, as well as post-graduate admissions, fellowships, and funding.
The Fellow will engage in enrichment activities - which may take the form of national or international research, leadership, and/or civic engagement - during the summers following his or her first, second, and third years of college. The Brown Fellows Program will fund these enrichment opportunities as well as the full cost of college attendance, including tuition, room and board, and associated fees.
