Jessica Cruzan, Class of 2011

Jessica is a freshman at Centre College where she plans to study Physics and its application in the life sciences. She graduated from Caddo Magnet High School in Shreveport, Louisiana where she was captain of the cross-country team, president of Key Club, and a researcher in the Science and Medicine Academic Research Training (SMART) Program. She was also a Siemens Math, Science, and Technology National Semifinalist. She remained on Caddo Magnet's 'A' Honor Roll all four years while completing coursework in a variety of AP and honors classes. She remains active in her community through volunteer work at her church, Meals on Wheels, and the Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home. When she’s not working in the lab, Jessica enjoys shooting archery, playing Ultimate Frisbee, and trying to create the perfect pizza.
