Sara is a member of the class of 2015 at Centre College. She plans to major in English and double-minor in French and German in order to pursue her hopes of becoming an author/editor and traveling the world. Sara was Valedictorian of her high school, a Governor's Scholar, a National Merit Finalist, and won the Harvard Book prize in her class. At Model Lab High School in Richmond, Kentucky, Sara played soccer and ran for Track & Field, as well as being a Captain of the Academic Team. Currently she is Features Editor for the Cento newspaper, participates in Quizbowl and Badminton Club, and is working with a partner to create a painting/presentation on synesthesia for the RICE symposium. Sara is a member of Alpha Delta Pi, was one of the first members of the Writing Club, and takes harp lessons. She captained an Intramural soccer team in the Fall and enjoys running and playing Ultimate Frisbee. This summer, Sara will begin learning German in Berlin for the KIIS program, and will also spend two weeks in Munich visiting museums and writing a paper on the problems with culture in museum displays. Sara enjoyed her trip to Italy with the Brown Fellows, and is looking forward to the rest of her time with the program.
