Brown Fellows Program

Brown Fellows

Brown Fellows are a highly motivated group of college students with a passion for leadership and a commitment to pursuing higher education in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Individually, they undertake Leadership Projects related to their own unique interests. Together, they travel internationally, grow as a team, and support one another through the challenges of a rigorous undergraduate career.

The inaugural class of Brown Fellows began with a trip to Panama in the summer of 2009.  The twenty students, ten each enrolled at Centre College and the University of Louisville traveled together before beginning their studies in September.  The second class of Brown Fellows traveled to Vietnam and Cambodia in August of 2010.  Twenty additional students will join the program each summer, allowing it to reach its current capacity of 80 Fellows — twenty per class, divided between the two campuses — by August of 2012.
