2011-2015 Class of Brown Fellows Announced

The Brown Fellows Program announces names of 20 Fellows selected as members of the 2011-2015 class at the University of Louisville and Centre College

LOUISVILLE, KY. (June 18, 2011) – The James Graham Brown Foundation will announce the 2011-2015 class of the Brown Fellows June 18 at the Derby Museum's Carl Pollard Gallery. The 12:30 p.m. event celebrates and recognizes 20 promising scholars who have been selected as Brown Fellows at the University of Louisville and Centre College.

The 2011-15 class of Brown Fellows includes 13 Kentuckians and 7 out-of-state students. Fellows and their parents will attend the ceremony and will be recognized by R. Alex Rankin, Chairman of the Board of the James Graham Brown Foundation; President James Ramsey of the University of Louisville, and President John Roush of Centre College.

The Brown Fellows Program, an educational initiative of the James Graham Brown Foundation since 2009, strives to create a network of higher education opportunities that will challenge even the brightest and most intellectually curious minds. It is designed to provide a diverse group of students with the opportunity to develop extraordinary leadership skills through academic enrichment, expanded opportunity, and personal accountability. To be eligible to become a Brown Fellow, high school seniors must have demonstrated a capacity for intellectual leadership and also have an interest in attending the University of Louisville or Centre College.
