Naseem Ansari, Class of 2009

Naseem Ansari plans to major in biology and minor in Spanish while being on the pre-medicine track. She attended Dixie Heights High School where she was voted “Miss Dixie 2009” by her classmates and teachers, based on academics, leadership and community involvement. Naseem was a Governor's Scholar, Commonwealth Ambassador, and was inducted into the National Honor Society her junior year. She also was secretary of the Student Council and was elected secretary of her freshman class. Naseem received the University of Kentucky Book Award in 2008 for outstanding service to her school and community. She served as an assistant soccer coach to the Northern Kentucky Youth Association and volunteered at Villa Spring Nursing Home in Erlanger where she helped residents and staff. She was team captain for her school's varsity volleyball and cross country teams and lettered in both sports.
