Ishita Jain, Class of 2009

Ishita Jain attended New Albany Senior High School. She is a pre-medicine student who plans to study bioengineering at UofL's J.B. Speed School of Engineering. Ishita is a member of the National Honor Society. During her senior year she served on the steering committee of her school's Action Commitment Education Club, a student-run community service group. During her junior year, she was vice president of her school's Key Club and was interdisciplinary team captain for the Academic Superbowl team. She competed on the volleyball team her freshman year and on tennis teams her sophomore through senior years. Ishita’s community service includes being assistant secretary for the Muhammad Ali Center Council of Students and volunteering with the transport department of University Hospital.
