Rosslyn Steinmetz graduated from duPont Manual High School in Louisville. She currently has not declared a major. Rosslyn is a member of the National Honor Society. She placed second in the material engineering division of the Kentucky State Science and Engineering Fair and earned awards three years in a row in the duPont Manual Louisville Regional Science Fair. She placed third in the Kentucky Junior Academy of Science and was a Kentucky Junior Science and Humanities Symposium semifinalist in 2007. She was active with the Future Business Leaders of America, placing at the regional and national levels in business communication and impromptu speaking competitions. She also participated in the National Spanish Honor Society and the National Beta Club. A tutor of Spanish-speaking middle school students, Steinmetz also was project coordinator for Action for Africa, a student club that raises awareness of crises in Africa.
