Cara Monical graduated the salutatorian from Clear Lake High School where she was a drum major of the Falcon Marching Band. She was also the three-year vice-president of the Computer Science Club, a member of National Honor Society, and principal bassoonist of the concert band that was selected for the prestigious Midwest Festival and orchestra that was the state honor orchestra runner-up. She plans on majoring in computer science, and is considering math and government as additional fields of study. After graduating, she plans on attending law school or computer science graduate school, and is considering pursuing a career in prosecution or computer forensics.
