The Overview
The Brown Fellows Program is a merit-based scholarship that rivals the best academic experience in the country. Exceptional high school seniors from Kentucky, the US, and across the world compete for a chance at only twenty spots per year: ten at the University of Louisville and ten at Centre College. Once these students become Fellows, their lives are never the same.

The Details
Application procedures differ at each institution, so interested high school seniors should access the application instructions at each school via the links provided below. In some circumstances it is permissible for students to apply to the Program at both schools simultaneously. Selection and interview dates differ for Centre and the University of Louisville. It is vital that an applicant understands the steps, requirements, and timelines specified by the school(s) to which he or she applies.

Selection Criteria
In addition to outstanding grades, exemplary test scores and excellent communications skills, students applying for the Brown Fellows Program should also demonstrate the following:

Average High School GPA: 3.9
Average ACT: 33
Fellows in Top Tenth of HS Class: 90%
Centre In-State / Out-of-State: 50% / 50%
U of L In-State / Out-of-State: 80% / 20%
